Topic 3: Blending Syllables and Sounds

Words are made up of inidividual sounds and blended syllables.  Children need to be able to hear word parts (syllables) and individual sounds that make up words. Children then need to be able to put them together to form a word.


Objectives

  • The learner will define blending and identify two strategies to improve this skill.
