Topic 7: Reading Supports

Using clip art as visual clues to new vocabulary words will help emerging readers make the connection to written text. Footnotes and Endnotes may be used to provide students with the definition of new words, or a teacher can type instructions on what to do next. They may even be used to give students clues on what to look for while they are reading the passage.

Objectives

• Participants will be able to insert and manipulate clip art in a document.
• Participants will be able to insert footnotes or endnotes to provide on-screen assistance to students.
