Introduction

Differentiated Instruction Overview

The purpose of this on-line overview is two-fold.  The first is to provide a review of effective strategies, tips, tools and techniques of differentiated instruction.   The second purpose will provide the opportunity to create and submit a tiered lesson plan.  These activities will meet the state professional development criteria for inservice points.

 Specific objectives include:

• Definition of differentiated instruction
• Principles of differentiated instruction
• Universal access to the curriculum
• Instructional strategies that support differentiated instruction
• Design a tiered lesson plan
